Meet Egbert

This is Egbert.

Egbert is walking-challenged. He had some sort of genetic or disease that had taken out his legs for the most part. But Egbert had balls, even if they were cold on the table. He would wait until a piece of food was dropped on the floor and then fly in and take it from the bigger birds before any could even move.

Rock on Egbert.

Packing.

I used to go into the desert with cans of ravioli, a bag of doritos, and a can of cheesewiz. Oh and about a half dozen firearms with ammo, for entertainment.

We are now packing an iPod each, a laptop loaded with Monk and Eureka tv shows on iTunes, a Nintendo DS, two Treo phones (with games), books, magazines, a digital camera, and a camcorder that also takes still pictures, for the flight.

You would think that we both had ADHD.

The good ole days sucked.

P.S. I am looking forward to eating the best food I can locate at the best restaurants.

Work, Work, and more Work.

Part of the reason my blog was down and I didn't have time to repair the problem was this little site you see in the picture. If you click on the picture you may be able to see three drill rigs (one little one under the canopy) and a construction crew on that very teensy site. We had to install a remediation system, and we had to do it quick while getting NO ONE hurt at all. You may now call me safety nazi and I will proudly wear the title. Five 6-day weeks, and we are almost done. The gas station could open next week, although we are still working in the back.

BACK UP! (Sort of)

Well I tried to hook up my custom name (www.dr1vel.com) and failed miserably. Godaddy was working fine so it must be blogger. What a PITA.

Anyway I am starting again due to our upcoming vacation in Maui, so check back for updates!
